Leadership

A ministry of the Word and the Spirit.

Archbishop Taiwo Akinola is an evangelist, teacher, author and global minister whose work is marked by a burden to reach the unreached and equip the body of Christ.

Born again on 4 April 1977, he later left a career in electrical engineering and nearly fourteen years of polytechnic teaching to answer the call to full-time ministry. He convenes Christ Global Network and presents Freedom Across the Airwaves.

Archbishop Taiwo and Bishop Ireti Akinola serve the Rhema family together. Bishop Ireti is a director of the Teaching and Discipleship Department.

They are blessed with four children: Opeyemi, OluwaJoba, TiwalOluwa and JayeOluwa. Their shared witness reflects Rhema’s commitment to strong families, intentional discipleship and wholehearted service.

1991

Rhema Christian Church was inaugurated on 2 November. Its enduring message is triumph over sin, poverty, oppression, Satan, fear, sorrow and death through Jesus Christ.
